Kevin Beaulieu has been serving clients in the financial services industry, and making a meaningful impact on people’s lives, since the late 1980s. As a Managing Partner since 2002, he oversees the management and finances of Independence Financial Partners while still serving clients as a Financial Planner. Kevin has a deep appreciation of his role as a trusted advisor and describes his work this way: “Every client has unique needs, and it is my passion to understand those needs and create an understandable solution.”
He began his career in Boston, working for the Long-Term Care division of John Hancock, after graduating from Boston College Carroll School of Management. In 1992, Kevin joined his father at Independence Financial Partners with the goal of developing a life insurance brokerage business serving brokers throughout the country. Over the years he built his reputation as a valuable resource in life insurance case design and transitioned into a substantial investment advisory practice.
Kevin attributes his ability to provide exceptional service to his clients, ranging from individuals to companies with over 500 employees, to his independence, his industry experience, and the support provided by his talented team at Independence Financial Partners. As a business owner himself, he is in a unique position to understand the diverse challenges of running a business—everything from human resources and finance to taxes and real estate issues. He also draws upon a lifetime of knowledge gained growing up in the family business. Based on this solid foundation he offers unbiased solutions centered solely upon what is in the client’s best interest.
Operating a second-generation family-owned firm with deep roots in Rhode Island, Kevin is proud that Independence Financial Partners remains focused to the values of personal attention, respect, and concern for people. The firm has grown and changed with the times, but the timeless principles of caring for people, personal relationships, and quality service never go out of style.
Kevin dedicates time outside of work to charitable and community organizations including East Greenwich Yacht Club, St. Kevin Parish Finance Counsel, Governor Warwick Country Club, and belongs to the Rhode Island Estate Planning Council, Rhode Island Society of Financial Service Professionals, and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. A life-long sailor living next to a golf course, in his free time Kevin struggles with his golf game and enjoys spending time on the water with his wife, Maureen, and three children, Anna, Joseph, and James.
